Welcome to Morpeth and District Gardening Club's Website

OUR HOME PAGE

Our club was formed over 15 years ago to promote and encourage gardening knowledge and skills. We currently have over ninety paid up members. We meet every fourth Thursday in the month from September to May. At these meetings we have talks and demonstrations on all aspects of gardening. These meetings are held in the St. James' Hall in Morpeth at 7.30 pm unless otherwise stated in the programme.

Recent meetings have covered the topics of lawn care, water gardens, conservatory plants and various plant families including primulas, erodiums, geraniums, ferns and sedums.
In the summer months we arrange visits to gardens far and near including our own members. Visits in the last few years have included Bide a Wee at Stanton, Ingram Cottage, West Woodburn and Mike Dale's garden at Bradley Brook Farm, Felton.

The current membership rate is £10.00 per year. There is no further charge for members at meetings which includes coffee / tea and biscuits, non members are welcome at a cost of £ 2.00 per meeting. Membership cards are valid until September of the current year and entitle members to discounts at several outlets.

We are a friendly group and welcome all gardeners from complete novices to the specialist expert who might get their arm twisted to deliver a talk or demonstration. We endeavour to provide something for every one. If you are into perfumed gardens or merely fragrant bushes, whether you are a Charlie Dimmock or a Charlie Chaplin come along and join us.

You can contact the club at this e-mail address.
